Cloud Computing Research

Cloud computing is referred to facilities that are submitted on demand and served on the Internet from shared data centers. Basically the access to the software is possible through the Internet without the need of buying or support your own server infrastructure. The partners and deliver supply you with the platform, security and software expert report that lets your IT resources to focus on the strategic initiatives. That leads to the minimization of the huge capital expenses.
Cloud computing provides an easy interface to manage a lot of computers. The largest priority of cloud computing is its elasticity. This elasticity and flexibility offers a lot of and new usage modalities for computing for research.
Here are several cases of cloud computing research projects:
Nebulas:
Created by researches from the University of Minnesota it is a way to use the resources gave away by closing user hosts. It is used today as brands such as Amazon and Google. Nebulas provides more scalability and one of the lowest costs. It is more optimized and developed comparing to the traditional clouds. Nebulas needs to back up more compound and hard tasks. Nebulas can exist as a complementary infrastructures to the simple clouds that can serve as a path for many services that are hosted on clouds.
CloudViews:
As the raising of the cloud computing era the security was always a big issue.Especially with the cases where multiple customers have their data and applications giving away one and the same cloud resources. That is why researchists and specialist from the University of Washington developed CloudViews. It is a storage system that has the aim to ease the collaboration through the protected data sharing. The researchers stated in the past that this kind of collaboration must be submited by the public cloud providers. That really ensures the growth of the market as the development of new Web services is getting bigger.
Trusted Cloud Computing Platform:
It was developed by researchists at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems. Its aim is to enable the infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers to submit a closedCloud Computing Research box that will guarantee confidential execution of virtual machines. That platform is really important because it ensured the users that service providers do not mess and have nothing to do with their data.
Private Virtual Infrastructure and Locator Bot:
This is cloud research project also like TCCP aims the security of cloud computing. It was offered by John Krautheim who is a researcher in the University of Maryland. His proposal concerns the relationship between the cloud service provider and the user. In his idea the customer must have much more control. In his statement he said that customers must have all the control of the security set of their data, applications and virtual machines while the cloud service provider must control the safety of the fabric. The whole idea provides a symbiotic relationship between the two sides – the users and the providers of course if they are correct in their relationship and contract. Of course there is a small problem and that is the trust between the two sides because they have to share different security information between themselves and others. For the provider that wouldn’t be a big problem but that is not how things stand for the users – they are different and all over the world. That is why there could be some misunderstandings in different cases and the whole Private Virtual Infrastructure is not that certain that it would work properly in all cases. Of course in most of the cases the relationship between the two sides is without a problem and based on trust, loyalty and hard-work.
